The TLC Wig Closet is a non-profit operating under the McAlester Regional Health Center Foundation in McAlester, Oklahoma. Our mission is to provide cancer patients in our community the resource and opportunity to obtain wigs and other head coverings at no charge.

We provide compassionate support and high-quality wigs at no cost to individuals experiencing hair loss due to cancer, helping restore confidence, dignity, and a sense of self.

The TLC Wig Closet serves as a resource for cancer patients across Southeast Oklahoma, providing head coverings, as well as bras and breast prostheses.
How to qualify
To qualify for our services, you must have a cancer diagnosis and cancer-related hair loss. A prescription is not needed, as we do not accept insurance.
OUR PROCESS
The TLC Closet is volunteer-based and an appointment is required to ensure that each person gets one-on-one support from a Wig Closet Volunteer.
A message from the founder
The TLC Wig Closet, named in honor of my grandmother, was created to be more than just a place to receive a wig—it’s a place of comfort, understanding, and support. Here, individuals can come not only for head coverings, but for guidance, encouragement, and connection during a difficult time. My hope is that every person who walks through our doors leaves feeling more like themselves—restored in confidence, dignity, and spirit.
